A little story…
The International Multihull Show was created back in 2010 with the aim of presenting catamarans and trimarans in the water.
Its original concept offered an Atlantic version in even-numbered years, and a Mediterranean version in odd-numbered years, with Lorient (56) and La Grande-Motte (34) hosting the first editions.
Now to suit the requirements of boat-builders, the Show is held every year in April in La Grande-Motte.
2010 - Lorient / The first... a world first! - 50 multihulls on display afloat in the “Cité de la Voile -Eric TABARLY” basin.
2011 - La Grande-Motte, the first in the Mediterranean; 60 multihulls afloat;
2012 - The return to the Atlantic - Northern Europe mobilizes, and against all the odds (terrible weather...) it's the year of perpetuation.
2013 - The 4th edition keeps its promises - the show settles definitively in the Mediterranean. With 40% of visitors from abroad, the international development strategy is confirmed.
2014 - International - The concept is totally in line with manufacturers' expectations. Visitors come from all over the world to discover a comprehensive range of products.
2015 - An economic success: we'll have to keep track of the number of units sold, as this is the most successful edition to date, much to the satisfaction of the manufacturers.
2016 - With new attendance and sales records, the International Multihull Show confirms its status as a major event on the international nautical calendar.
2017 - This 8th edition once again confirms the boating industry's excellent health. The many new products were a resounding success, and order books were filled well beyond the wildest expectations...
2018 - It's a record-breaking year ... with over 60 multihulls on display, including 10 world premieres! Like the exceptional weather, the multihull industry is in fine fettle... the 9th edition bears witness to the euphoria this sector of the nautical industry is experiencing.
2019 - The International Multihull Show took advantage of windy conditions to blow out its 10th candle! This year's event was once again a great success, and the builders expressed their satisfaction with a well-filled order book. A particular highlight this year was the large number of foreign visitors from all over the world, who accounted for a large proportion of sales.
2020 - Edition cancelled.
2021 - Edition cancelled.
2022 - There's no stopping it, not even capricious weather could dampen the enthusiasm of more than 15,000 visitors from the 4 corners of the globe, for this 100% multihull show; an almost complete presentation of catamaran, trimaran sailing or motor yachting, with more than 65 multihulls on display, probably a record for a boat show!
2023 - A very full line-up, with some 70 units on display... New technologies, renewable energy, hybrid propulsion, solar panels, etc... With more and more enthusiasts, multihulls are staying the course and the show is cruising at full speed!
